The Shraddh performed during Pitru Paksha, in which Pind Daan is offered to all ancestors, is called Mahalaya Shraddh.

Mahalaya Shraddh
During his fourteen years of exile, Lord Rama performed the Pind Daan (ancestral rites) for his father at Ramkund in Nashik.
At Ramkund in Nashik, the Tenth-day (Dashkriya) ritual is traditionally performed.

Pujas In Nashik
Performing puja in Nashik is considered extremely sacred, as it is one of the four sites of the Kumbh Mela and is also associated with the origin of the holy Godavari River.
The Godavari River, also known as the “Dakshin Ganga” (Ganges of the South), originates near Trimbakeshwar in Nashik district. It is believed that performing puja, abhishek, pind daan, or shraddha rituals on the banks of the Godavari washes away sins and brings peace to departed ancestors. Taking a holy dip in the river and performing charity and religious acts during Kumbh Mela, Amavasya, or other auspicious occasions is considered highly meritorious.
The city is also home to the sacred Trimbakeshwar Shiva Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Shiva. Rituals such as Rudrabhishek, Kalsarp Dosh Puja, Tripindi Shraddha, and Narayan Nagbali performed here are believed to remove sins, eliminate obstacles, and bring spiritual peace.
At Ramkund in Nashik, the sacred Godavari River flows southward (Dakshinavahini). Because of this southward flow, the Godavari at Ramkund is revered as “Dakshin Kashi” (Kashi of the South). There is also a sacred Asthilaya Kund within Ramkund,

Asthi Visarjan

The rituals performed up to the twelfth day are observed during the period of impurity (Ashauch/Sutak), whereas the thirteenth-day ceremony (Terava) is considered a pure and sanctified ritual.
